Dr. Kira Packan: Dr. Kira Packan is originally from Tennessee where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Murray State University. Subsequently she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee. Previous work experience includes an associate veterinary position at a veterinary practice in the University area of Charlotte, NC before joining the staff at Coddle Creek Animal Hospital. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. Dr. Packan has professional special interests in reptiles, pocket pets (small mammals) and small animal soft tissue surgery.
She enjoys horseback trail riding, reading, making jewelry and her pet reptiles. Her family includes her husband Chuck Jamieson and an assortment of pets including Cuervo- a 2 year old Rottweiler - Pip-a 1year old French Bulldog Mix - Pepper-8 year old Pug - Ike-10 year old Pug - Caroline-10 year old Rocky Mt. Horse - Freck- 17year old Arabian - Mandy- 9 year old Mini Donkey - Sweet Pea-Corn Snake - Sam-Ball Python - Walter-Blue Tongue Skink!
Dr. Matt Tanner: Dr. Matt Tanner is originally from Fayetteville, West Virginia. He received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from West Virginia University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from University of Georgia. After graduation he worked in a practice in Royston Georgia before joining our team at Coddle Creek Animal Hospital. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. His special interests include orthopedic surgery, ultrasound and cardiology.
Dr Tanner is an avid sportsman enjoying fishing and hunting. His family includes his wife Kelly, Annie the family dog and Samson the cat.
Dr. Jennifer Long: Dr. Jennifer Long grew up in Orlando, Florida. She received both her undergraduate degrees as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida. Before coming to Coddle Creek Animal Hospital Dr. Long was employed at a small animal practice in Orlando Florida. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. Her special interests include small animal medicine and surgery.
She enjoys travel and reading. Her family includes her husband, Brandon as well as two beagles Isabelle and Fiona.
Dr. Patrick Sustar: Dr. Patrick Sustar is originally from Charlotte, NC. He received his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from N.C. State University. Previous work experience includes veterinary practices in Charlotte and Midland,NC. Dr Sustar is also a founding partner of Coddle Creek Animal Hospital. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Sustar enjoys saltwater offshore fishing, exercising, going to Carolina Panther games and other sporting events with his family. He and his family also enjoy involvement in various service opportunities/organizations both locally and internationally. Dr. Sustar’s family includes his wife Debra and 3 children Lauren, Harrison and Grant. He also has a 16 year old Quarterhorse named Joey and an 8 year old Beagle named Lexi.
