Internal Medicine:
In the instance that your pet may become affected with an illness or disease we are equipped to offer knowledge and experience in all areas of internal medicine including, but not limited to, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology. We will endeavor as a healthcare team to partner with you and your pet in order to effectively diagnose and resolve your pet’s illness as soon as possible.
Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgery
Should your pet require surgery to resolve a healthcare concern we are ready and able to provide experience in this area as well. Whether it be for an intestinal blockage involving a pet that ate something it shouldn’t have or a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), or a fractured limb, we have doctors experienced in these and other areas of veterinary surgery. We also provide state of the art monitoring of your pet while they are under anesthesia, so as to provide the greatest assurance of a successful outcome.
Digital Radiography (x-ray) and Digital Ultrasound
In some cases the physical exam and blood testing still leave some unanswered questions concerning your pet’s diagnosis. These two non-invasive imaging modalities allow our doctors to effectively acquire important diagnostic information before any medical or surgical treatment is provided. These can also be used in evaluating the pregnancy status of your pet.
Endoscopy
With the use of a flexible fiber optic scope our doctors can provide another non-invasive means of diagnosing and/or treating your pet before surgery would need to be performed. Typically this procedure is used to check the status of the gastrointestinal tract or the airway/nasal passages.
Pain Management
Whether your pet has life stage related pain concerns (e.g. arthritis etc.) or is recovering from surgery or other health problems, minimizing discomfort is a goal for us at Coddle Creek Animal Hospital. We will work with you and your pet to both recognize and attempt to alleviate pain whatever the underlying cause may be.
Dental Care
Routine prophylactic dental cleanings are very important to any healthcare program. Teeth problems can lead to bad breath, gum disease, lost teeth and even heart related problems. Our technicians use state of the art dental equipment to clean and polish your pet’s teeth. When problems are detected that warrant further intervention we will offer treatment options specific to your pet’s needs.
Nutritional Counseling
Providing you with relevant information regarding the diet of your pet is important. Whether your pet is young, older or has a specific health concern (e.g. diabetes, kidney disease, intestinal problems, etc.) our doctors and staff can offer helpful nutritional information to improve the life of your pet. We carry a full line of life stage appropriate and prescription diets to meet your pet’s nutritional needs.
Behavioral Counseling
We know that a variety of behavioral issues can occur with pets for a variety of reasons. Whether you have concerns about separation anxiety, inappropriate elimination (house soiling) or other behavioral problems, our staff is prepared to offer assistance in these and other areas and make recommendations to help alleviate any concerns that you may have.
Exotic Pet Care
We do have a doctor on staff who is experienced in the care and treatment of various types of exotic animals including snakes and other reptiles, and small mammals such as rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs etc.
Senior Pet Care
Senior Pets (7 years and older) have life stage healthcare concerns that younger pets do not have. At Coddle Creek we are prepared to tailor your senior pet’s wellness care to fit their life stage needs. Whether it is nutritional, diagnostic blood testing or other needs we will offer recommendations to enhance the life of your senior pet.
Microchipping
Microchips have played a key role in reuniting many pet owners with their faithful companions. We know that if your pet becomes missing for any reason it is a stressful event. Microchipping will give you peace of mind knowing that, should your pet go missing, this would provide for the most likely means of their safe return.
Bathing and Climate Controlled Boarding
We offer boarding in a clean, climate controlled atmosphere. There is also a large outside area for your pet to exercise multiple times each day. Nutritionally we can offer a prescription diet that is very easy on your pet’s digestive tract, or we can use your preferred food that you provide for your pet. Additionally we offer bathing services including the use of medicated shampoos, if needed, for a variety of skin and coat conditions.
Pharmacy
Whether your pet needs medication related to treatment of an illness or for preventative measures, we carry a wide variety of pharmaceutical products.
After Hours Emergency and Specialty Care
We have a very good rapport with after hours emergency care centers as well as a specialty/referral practice nearby. Whether your pet needs after hours emergency care or the expertise of board certified veterinary specialists we can refer you to the facility that will best accommodate your needs.
